This one is not even normal again because how can one team just be your downfall again and again every time and you still believe it’s going to end well but it doesn’t. 

They don’t even need to play well, they just need to wear red and show up and Arsenal already start shaking before the ball touches their boot and it has been like that for too long and fans are tired of typing the same complaint again. 

It’s not rivalry it’s something else because it’s not even fair what this team has done to Arsenal for over 15 years and counting and the pain keeps repeating and nobody can stop it.

Old Trafford Is Not Just a Stadium; It’s Where Arsenal Forget How to Breathe

That place is not just a pitch it's a punishment ground because every time Arsenal go there it ends badly no matter how prepared no matter the form no matter the table position the result is always sadness. 

Even when Arsenal are flying high with momentum and press and goals once they enter Old Trafford the football disappears and the confidence dies and the match is gone before halftime. 

It can be a late penalty, it can be a red card, it can be one useless deflected shot but somehow United always win there and Arsenal always collapse and it doesn’t make sense anymore but it keeps happening.

Every Manager Came and Left But the Pain Stayed the Same

Wenger started it with that 8-2 disaster and it never got fixed and Emery came to build something new and still couldn’t survive the curse and now Arteta is doing his own thing and the wound is still fresh because United always finds a way to spoil it. 

The badge changes and the faces change and the style changes but the one thing that has remained from 2006 till now is that Arsenal can’t beat United when it matters and fans know this truth deep down. 

Different era but same tears and if you’re an Arsenal fan you’ve already accepted that once United enter the fixture calendar your weekend is likely already gone before kickoff.

Even When United Are Mid, Arsenal Still Can’t Win

It’s not even like United have been flying all this while they’ve had midtable seasons and shocking losses and confusion up and down but when they see Arsenal they transform to prime Galacticos with super powers. 

Arsenal will be winning against big teams and keeping clean sheets and scoring goals for fun but once they see United they freeze like school kids on stage and start passing the ball to nobody and conceding soft goals like charity. 

Players like McTominay and Elanga and Lingard start playing like Ronaldo against Arsenal and nobody can explain it but it happens over and over like a ritual.

But Lately, Maybe Just Maybe, Something is Shifting

Arteta came with his jerry-curl head and tactics and hunger and for some strange reason Arsenal are now looking different against Man United and fans don’t know whether to believe it or not. 

One of their memorable victory was 3-1 and as Premier League 2025/26 started, they won 1-0 thanks to Calafiori’s headed goal and for once it looked like Arsenal didn’t panic and didn’t overthink and just played ball with sense and collected the result. 

Nobody is saying the curse is broken but the fear is not as loud anymore and if they can keep this up then maybe one day Old Trafford won’t be a graveyard anymore but we are still watching because it’s still United.
